Day 1: Amman Queen Alia International Airport - Amman
Welcome to Jordan! Upon arrival at the Jordan International Airport, we'll assist you through visa formalities. Once you have gathered all of your luggage, you will be transferred to your Hotel in Amman .
After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure .
** If your flight arrives early Amman City Tour will be offered .
Day 2: Amman - Jerash - Anjara - Tell Mar Elias - Amman
Breakfast at the hotel. and start heading north ,to the Roman City of Jerash , Jerash was a favorite city of the Roman emperor, Hadrian, and reached its zenith in AD 130, flourishing economically and socially. The city began to decline in the 3rd century, later becoming a Christian city under the rule of the Byzantine empire.
Afterwards a short stop at Anjara - the lady of the Mountain church, a rebuilt cave that is venerated as a place where Jesus and his mother Mary passed during their journeys between the Sea of Galilee, the Decapolis cities, Bethany beyond the Jordan and Jerusalem.
next is Tell mar Elias very close to the ruins of a village known as Listib. It is believed that this place was the home of Elijah.
By Evening return to Amman for overnight .
Day 3: Amman - Petra - Amman
Today we start early driving south , to the Red Rose City of Petra , One of the Seven Wonders of the World ! In addition to the magnificent remains of the Nabataean city, human settlement and land use for over 10,000 years can be traced in Petra, where great natural, cultural, archaeological and geological features merge.
After wandering the city, by evening return to Amman for overnight .
Day 4: Amman - Baptism Site - Mt. Nebo - Madaba
After breakfast check out from your hotel to be transferred to the Baptism Site, known as Bethany beyond the Jordan River. Because this site marks the baptism of Jesus by John, and thus the beginning of Jesus’ mission and indeed the beginning of Christianity, it is considered to be one of the three holiest Christian sites in the world.
Continue to Mt. Nebo believed to be the burial site of Prophet Moses. If the weather allows you will have like him a view of the Holy-Land.
Afternoon reaching Madaba city, Madaba is a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from around the world who come to see its ancient mosaics and explore its rich history and culture. The chief attraction in this city is a wonderfully vivid, sixth century Byzantine mosaic map showing Egypt, Jerusalem and the Holy Land, preserved in St. George Church.
Check in at your hotel in Madaba & overnight.
** An optional visit to la Storia museum in Madaba can be offered
*** Another good Idea is to join one of the mosaic classes to learn more about the handicraft that the city is famous about.
Day 5: Madaba - Allenby Bridge - Jerusalem City Tour - Jerusalem
After Early breakfast, check out and drive to Allenby Bridge to cross into the Holy land,
Start a Tour in Jerusalem, The tour starts on Mt. Scopus with a panoramic view of the city from the east, afterwards head to The Mount of Olives, one of three hills on a long ridge to the east of Jerusalem, is the location of many biblical events. Rising to more than 800 meters, it offers an unrivalled vista of the Old City and its environs.
Continue to Garden of Gethsemane. The Garden of Gethsemane, near the foot of the Mount of Olives, named in the New Testament where Jesus went with his disciples to pray the night before he was crucified.
In the afternoon, walk into the Old City to see and touch the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the only one remnant of the Second Temple. Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. Then turn southwest, just outside the Old City, visit Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper.
Finish your day by transferring to your hotel for an overnight.
Day 6: New City Jerusalem – Bethlehem - Jerusalem
After breakfast at your hotel, Depart for a visit to the New City of Jerusalem. Visit the Shrine of the Book in the Museum of Israel, where the manuscripts of the Dead Sea and the Model representing the City of Jerusalem in the time of Jesus are on display.
Continue towards Ein Karem, a picturesque neighborhood on the outskirts of Jerusalem to visit the Church of the Visitation that honors the visit paid by Virgin Mary to Elizabeth. This is the site where tradition tells us that Mary recited her song of praise, the Magnificent, one of the most ancient hymns to Mary.
In the afternoon, travel to Bethlehem. Visit of the Church of the Nativity, the Grotto of the Nativity, and Chapel of Saint Jerome. The Church of the Nativity is the most important landmark in Bethlehem and marks the site where the nativity took place. It was in Bethlehem just over 2,000 years ago that Mary gave birth to baby Jesus.
Today Bethlehem is a thriving city in the Palestinian Authority West Bank approximately 10 km south of Jerusalem and the Nativity Church is the city’s top attraction.
Transfer back to Jerusalem for overnight.
Day 7: Jerusalem - Tel Aviv - Jerusalem
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Tel Aviv. Walk through Tel Aviv’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, the White City, including the well-known Rothschild Boulevard and surrounding streets admiring the details and historical past of the buildings which are world-renowned. Learn about the foundation of Tel Aviv just over 100 years ago by European migrants and discover how their roots influenced the architecture and culture of the city to this day, including the Bauhaus, international, and eclectic buildings which are so iconic here.
Explore the colorful and vibrant Shuk HaCarmel (market), Tel Aviv’s main marketplace, and discover the many international flavors and ingredients. From the fresh olives to the spice market, fresh local cheeses and artisan bread, the market is filled with colors, flavors and many local ingredients and pastries such as halva, baklava, and other sweet delights. Enjoy a sampling of authentic flavors. Take in the rich history and cultural significance by exploring South Tel Aviv’s streets, admiring dynamic graffiti and street art in the area.
Transfer back to Jerusalem for an overnight.
Day 8: Jerusalem - Allenby - Queen Alia International Airport
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Jerusalem, transfer to Allenby Bridge to cross back to Jordan and head to Amman international airport according to your flight details.
*If departing via Ben Gurion airport, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Jerusalem 3.5 hours prior to departure time.
